Katherine M. Goss Clark

Katherine Clark was born in New York on January 7, 1843, and died in Denver, Colorado on March 24, 1929 (Age 86). She resides peacefully at Riverside Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.

Family

Mrs. Clark came to Colorado in 1859. The Clarks were married in 1864, one year before Mayor Clark was elected. The Clarks had two children. Mrs. Clark was twenty-one years old when Mayor Clark was elected.

Of Note

She was a social leader along with her two sisters in the then new Denver settlement. Mrs. Clark was involved in the Pioneer Ladies Aid Society and Territorial Daughters. Her tombstone says: “Mother” and on the line below it ,“Pioneers.”
