Clara B. Avery Arnold
Wife of Honorable Henry J. Arnold, the twenty-seventh Mayor of Denver. First Lady of Denver from 1912-1913.
Her Story
Personal
Clara was born in Clinton, Missouri on June 20, 1869 and died in Denver, Colorado February 23, 1923 (Age 53). She peacefully resides at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.

Family
The Arnolds were married in 1892 and had two children. They moved to Denver in 1897.

Of Note
Mayor Arnold was only in office for one year, so Mrs. Arnold was First Lady for a brief period of Denver's history. After her husband’s Mayoral term, Mrs. Arnold remained active in the affairs of the First Baptist Church, the Woman's Club, the Parent-Teacher Association, and the Coal Guild. She was especially noted for her charitable work.
