Vera was born in 1905 and died in Denver, Colorado on March 7, 2002 (Age 96). She currently resides peacefully at Fairmont Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.

Family
Mrs. Batterton married Mayor Batterton in 1958, the year before he was elected as Mayor. She had a son from a prior marriage. Her maiden name was Mahr, and her previous married name was Steinhardt. The family lived at 2009 Hudson St.

Of Note
Mayor Batterton’s one term was particularly difficult with many financial, tax, police, and political crises presenting themselves during these four years. Vera was a constant support to Mayor Batterton during all of these challenging matters.
